This is a 4hp Yamaha 2-Stroke short shaft outboard in good condition. These are very popular engines because they are very light, have a self-contained gas tank, and run strong. The Yamaha 4 hp has forward, reverse, and neutral gears. this engine is a very light weight 2-stroke which makes it very desirable as they are no longer being produced. This motor shifts and runs very good. It has been fully boat tested and has performed excellent. This 4 hp Yamaha outboard would make a great outboard motor for any small boat that can handle 48lb 4stroke 15" shaft (short) outboard.
