This is a short shaft 25 hp Mercury Outboard Motor. This motor has been used in freshwater only. There are no signs of rust or corrosion. This engine needs work. The motor starts very easily and has perfect compression of around 120psi even. The motor does not shift into gear. When draining the lower unit oil pure water came out. We assume that the lower unit is toast. We are in the process of finding a replacement lower unit. If you are intersted in this motor for parts or to fix yourself you can have it for $550.00.
