This is a 20 hp Mercury Outboard motor. It has been used in freshwater. We have boat tested this engine and it runs strong. It has minor cosmetic issues like the cover(cowling) rattles and shakes a bit. The engine checks out great. The compression on this motor is even at 125psi even on both cylinders. The weight of this motor is only 99.7 lbs which makes it perfect for almost any boating application. Many people use these motors as kickers for their large sailboats. This would make a perfect outboard for a Boston Whaler type skiff, John Boat, Sailboat, Bass Boat, Gheenoe, Portable Boat, Poontoon, Flats Skiff, large inflatable, or any other small water craft.
