This is a 2009 225 hp Mercury Optimax outboard boat motor. This engine has a 20" shaft. Mercury Optimax engines are Direct fuel injected engines which provide the economy of a 4-stroke but the torque and performance of a 2-stroke. This engine was used by a ski-boat company to do water skiing training and shows. This engine has only been used in freshwater and is in perfect shape. We have fully boat tested this engine and it runs excellent and is ready to go. Compression is very strong on this engine at around 100psi. This motor has 2300 hours on it but was professionally maintained on a routine schedule. The water-ski company needed to make sure this engine was 100% operational at all times so routine maintenance was imperative. They could not afford any down time. This engine shows it on how well it runs.
