This is a 2003 6 hp Johnson outboard boat motor. This motor has a 15" short shaft and is a 2-stroke. This motor weighs only 56lbs. We have fully boat tested this motor and it runs excellent. These are one of our favorite engines in the 6-8 hp class due to their weight-to-power ratio. This engine uses the same chassis as an 8 hp OMC motor made throughout the 90's and early 2000's. This motor pushed a 12 ft aluminum jon boat about 20 mph. This 6hp Johnson is the perfect outboard for a canoe, gheenoe, inflatable, jon boat, flats skiff, to use as a kicker, back up motor, trolling motor, portable-boat, or any other small water craft. This is a 2-stroke, short shaft, 56lbs, manual start, tiller outboard boat motor.
