This is a nice running Honda 5 hp 4-Stroke (4 Cycle) outboard. This engine is very quiet and runs excellent. Compression is perfect on this motor and it shifts into gear smoothly. These are very popular engines because they are reliable and very quiet. This motor has an extension for the gear shifter. The EPA is mandating that all manufacturers produce outboard motors to pass emissions in 2006 and must conform to the specifications that this motor achieves.. This motor will be accepted on most bodies of water and will provide many years of great usage. This is the right motor for any small boat accomdating a 5-15hp outboard. Boat Tested! Runs Excellent!
