This is a used 2005 5 hp Briggs and Stratton 4 stroke outboard boat motor. This engine is the complete package and ready for your boat. Briggs & Stratton, renowned for their quality and craftsmanship, now make an outboard motor that lives up to the brand's reputation. This engine has very low hours on it and was used only in freshwater. This is a 5 hp 4 cycle (4-stroke) air cooled outboard motor that meets and exceeds all of the 2006 EPA requirements. Included with the engine is a gas tank and hose. It is a 4 stroke outboard meaning that the need to mix oil and gas is not necessary. This also means that the motor will be economical and reliable as well as smooth when trolling. This engine only weighs 56lbs and is very easy to carry providing handles and grip bars. Another great feature of the 5 hp Briggs and Stratton Outboard is the fact that this motor has forward, neutral and reverse as well as a twist grip throttle. This engine is air cooled which means you can run it out of the water or in muddy water and not have to worry about the cooling system going bad. This is great for hunters or shallow water fisherman who run-a-ground or kick up mud. AFA Marine has fully lake tested this 5 hp Briggs and Stratton and we were very impressed.
