DURAJET: was developed for the U.S. Marines in the early ‘90’s in order to eliminate propeller related injuries during training and combat operations. Since then, over 4000 Johnson/Evinrude engines (20-70 HP) have been sold to organizations like the NAVY SEALS, NASA, FEMA, FDNY. With 2 Million hours logged in military operations without a single injury. Why have'nt I heard of DURAJET? Because of it's Military significance DURAJET was not offered to the boating public until 2002.

This is not a lower water device, nor will you see 20-30% loss in speed, HP or performance like other Jet products found on Honda, Mercury, Yamaha, or in Jet boats or jet skis.

The DURAJET system uses 100% of the engines rated HP, and gives up no HP loss or little speed (5-10%). The best news is that a 50 HP powerhead is producing 50 HP at the output shaft. On fast planing boat you will see a small reduction in speed, on heavier less efficient hulls, the speeds are almost identical to a prop unit. Planing times are reduced and load carrying ability increases. Has standard Forward-Neutral-Reverse gear case. This product is built on the outside of the gear case, therefore does not effect the new engine warranty.
