This 30 hp Mariner (Made by Mercury) is a long shaft remote with power tilt and trim. This engine starts, idles, and runs great. Compression is very strong on this engine at about 120psi even. We have fully boat tested this motor and it runs excellent. This motor has 2 cylinders and is a 2 stroke which means it will be light enough to be installed on most 30 hp capable boats. With a 20" long shaft this is a perfect outboard for a Boston Whaler type skiff, Big Jon Boat, Bass Boat, Barge, Pontoon, Flats Skiff, large inflatable, or any other small water craft.
