This is a great running 6 hp Mercury long shaft 2-stroke outboard. This engine has low freshwater hours on it. We have fully boat tested this motor and it runs excellent. Compression on this motor was very strong and even. These 6 hp Mercury outboards use the same components as the 8-15hp 2-stroke. This engine has plenty of power for it's size as it is a de-tuned version of the larger horse power motors. This motor has a 20" long shaft and only weighs 74lbs which makes it ideal for boating applications that require a light weight powerful engine. This would make an ideal kicker or sailboat engine.
