This is a 6.5 hp Johnson outboard motor in very clean condition. We have fully boat tested this motor......it is 100% ready to fish! This engine pumps water great, shifts into gear smooth, idles smooth, accelerates fast, and performs excellent. This motor is a short shaft, two-stroke, tiller model. The weight of this motor is only 56 lbs. This motor was owned by an OMC certified marine mechanic and is in great running condition. Some of the features this 6.5 hp Johnson has is great compression, high-thrust prop, and a charging system. We repainted the hood because the owner had lost the original hood and we wanted to match the replacement hood with the rest of the motor. This is the ideal motor for a Gheenoe, jon boat, flats boat, skiff, Whaler, inflatable, kicker, sailboat, or to use as an emergency back up.
