This is a 1960 40hp Johnson outboard short shaft in great running condition fully restored with a dupont paint job. This 40 hp Johnson was used in freshwater and runs great. Before we restored the engine the motor was very clean. This 40 hp Johnson is set up for remote steering. Controls and wiring harness are an additional $400 but are restored and available. . This is a 15" shaft, electric and pull start, fuel pump, remote model but has the capabilities to convert to a tiller. This motor only weighs 135lbs, the weight of the average 25 hp today. If you are in the market for a 25-40hp outboard this is the motor! This is a 2 stroke, 2 cylinder outboard with forward-Neutral-Reverse.
